Dr Michael Spiteri
Founder and Principal Dentist BDENT (Sydney)
Heading the team at Smile Care Latrobe is Director and Principal Dentist, Dr. Michael Spiteri. Dr. Michael began his dental career in Sydney in 2014 and became the sole owner of the Latrobe practice in October 2022, bringing with him a strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient-focused care.
Dr. Michael has a particular interest in surgical dentistry, including routine and complex extractions and wisdom teeth removal, as well as advanced restorative treatments such as dental implants and cosmetic dentistry. He values the precision and problem-solving involved in these procedures and takes pride in delivering results that restore both function and confidence that stand the test of time.
Dr. Michael has invested heavily in his education, attending countless local and international courses and conferences, most recently his Masters of Implantology.
Beyond clinical care, Dr. Michael is passionate about creating an environment where patients feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely at ease. His vision is for Smile Care Latrobe to feel less like a traditional dental clinic and more like home, a place of trust and familiarity where patients feel listened to, respected, and confident in the care they receive.

Dr Shane Leong

Dr. Shane Jie Leong graduated from the University of Queensland with Honours in 2022 and has since proudly made Tasmania home, where he feels privileged to care for and support the local community. Passionate about all aspects of modern dentistry, Dr. Shane has a particular interest in oral surgery and restoring both smiles and function through dental implants.
With a strong focus on precision and patient comfort, Dr. Shane combines the latest techniques with a calm, approachable manner to deliver high-quality care. His philosophy centres on the individual, he believes the best outcomes are achieved by tailoring every treatment plan to suit each patient’s unique needs, goals, and lifestyle.
Whether performing complex restorative procedures or routine examinations, Dr. Shane is committed to creating a positive, personalised dental experience. He takes pride in helping patients feel informed, confident, and at ease throughout every stage of their treatment journey.

Dr Caroline Gehlhaar

Dr. Caroline is a caring and approachable dentist who is passionate about making every patient feel comfortable and at ease. She has a special affinity for treating children and particularly enjoys helping patients who may feel anxious about visiting the dentist, taking the time to ensure each appointment is calm, supportive, and positive.
Born and raised in England, Dr. Caroline qualified in Dentistry at Manchester University. She gained valuable experience working in a range of dental practices across London before relocating to Australia in 2012. Since then, she has practised throughout Queensland and New South Wales and is now proud to call beautiful Tasmania home.
Dr. Caroline is deeply committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. She places great importance on actively listening to her patients to fully understand their concerns, goals, and preferences. Her gentle approach and dedication to creating a welcoming environment help to reduce anxiety and build long-lasting patient relationships.

Dr Isaac Lim

He is passionate about helping patients feel confident in their smiles and provides comprehensive care ranging from routine check-ups to cosmetic and restorative treatments.
Known for his gentle touch and strong attention to detail, Dr. Isaac takes the time to understand each patient’s individual needs, concerns, and treatment goals. He believes clear communication and a personalised approach are key to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
Dr. Isaac gained valuable experience working in rural Western Australia, where he practised for six months before relocating to Tasmania to join the team at Latrobe Smile Care. His diverse clinical background has strengthened his adaptability and commitment to providing thorough, reliable dental care to patients of all ages.

Dr Paul Greham
Dental Implant Surgeon, BDS
Dr. Paul studied Dentistry at the University of Liverpool (UK), graduating in 2004. Since then, he has worked across a variety of clinical settings around the world and has been a trusted local dentist in Tasmania since 2011.
Dr. Paul is a truly kind and caring dentist who takes great pride in all aspects of his work. He has a special affinity for treating nervous and anxious patients, taking a calm, understanding, and compassionate approach to help patients feel relaxed and supported throughout their dental journey.
He particularly enjoys managing complex and challenging cases and brings extensive experience in oral surgery and dental implantology, having spent over 10 years working in hospital environments. With a strong focus on dental implants, Paul has become a leading authority in implant dentistry an winning the award of Australian Implantologist of the Year 2025.
We are incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Paul call Latrobe Smile Care and Tasmania home.

With a strong background in dental assisting and experience across a variety of clinical settings, she brings both practical insight and thoughtful leadership to the team.
Jade is passionate about creating a positive, welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. She enjoys introducing fresh ideas that enhance the patient experience and support the ongoing growth of the practice, always with a focus on quality care and teamwork.
As Practice Manager, Jade oversees the day-to-day operations of the clinic, supporting the dental team and ensuring patients receive a seamless, comfortable experience from the moment they arrive.
