Dr Michael Spiteri
Founder and Principal Dentist BDENT (Sydney)
Heading the team at Smile Care Latrobe is Director and Principal Dentist, Dr. Michael Spiteri. Dr. Michael began his dental career in Sydney in 2014 and became the sole owner of the Latrobe practice in October 2022, bringing with him a strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient-focused care.
Dr. Michael has a particular interest in surgical dentistry, including routine and complex extractions and wisdom teeth removal, as well as advanced restorative treatments such as dental implants and cosmetic dentistry. He values the precision and problem-solving involved in these procedures and takes pride in delivering results that restore both function and confidence that stand the test of time.
Dr. Michael has invested heavily in his education, attending countless local and international courses and conferences, most recently his Masters of Implantology.
Beyond clinical care, Dr. Michael is passionate about creating an environment where patients feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely at ease. Dr. Shane Jie Leong graduated from the University of Queensland with honours in 2022 and has since proudly made Tasmania home, where he feels privileged to care for and support the local community. Passionate about all aspects of modern dentistry, Dr. Shane has a particular interest in oral surgery and restoring both smiles and function through dental implants.
Dr. Shane is particularly known for his expertise in performing a wide range of treatments, including root canal therapy, extractions, fillings, crowns, and precision orthodontic clear aligner work. He is highly regarded for delivering perfect cosmetic dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation, and creating stunning, natural-looking results tailored to each patient’s needs.

She has a special affinity for treating children and particularly enjoys helping patients who may feel anxious about visiting the dentist, taking the time to ensure each appointment is calm, supportive, and positive.
Born and raised in England, Dr. Caroline qualified in Dentistry at Manchester University. She gained valuable experience working in a range of dental practices across London before relocating to Australia in 2012. Since then, she has practiced throughout Queensland and New South Wales and is now proud to call beautiful Tasmania home.
Known for her nurturing touch and calm demeanor, she has a natural talent for helping even the most anxious patients feel at ease. She takes the time to truly listen to her patients, ensuring their concerns and preferences are understood, and creating a relaxed, welcoming environment and Kids Love her!

Dr. Paul is a truly kind and caring dentist who takes great pride in all aspects of his work. He has a special affinity for treating nervous and anxious patients, taking a calm, understanding, and compassionate approach to help patients feel relaxed and supported throughout their dental journey.

As Practice Manager, Jade oversees the day-to-day operations of the clinic, supporting the dental team and ensuring patients receive a seamless, comfortable experience from the moment they arrive.
